The teeth illustrated are typical of small theropod teeth found associated with dinosaur remains in Upper Cretaceous deposits. They have been ascribed to juvenile T. rex by some, and may represent more than one species of predator. They are 2.5 to 3 cm long (about an inch). The teeth have serrations, sometimes quite worn, along the cutting edgesTheir precise origin is still a matter of controversy, and will remain so until further excavation reveals the source.
