These two Devonian specimens of Psycopyge elegans are, like many of the trilobites displayed at this site, from the Atlas Mountains near Erfoud, Morocco. The unique features of these specimens are manifold. This species features a shovel-like snout protruding from the margin of its cephalon, whose functions in stirring up sediment can easily be imagined.
