Discordia lines sometimes give "acceptable" dates, but they frequently indicate "geologically unacceptable" ages. Various theories such as diffusion models have been used to explain "invalid" lower concordia dates. Some data do not fit these models. And if they were applied consistently, they would invalidate the currently accepted dates!
