Os interesses de Arthur Chadwick inclui basinal e suprabasinal sedimentológico trends, incluindo análises da corrente paleozóica e outras estruturas direcionais. Ele também está envolvido em pesquisas no sistema deposicional de Cambrian basal e nos processos de água profunda em muitas áreas, incluindo trabalhos nos Tapeats Sandstone e na região do Grand Canyon. Seu trabalho na corrente paleozóica o leva a áreas distantes do globo em busca de novas fontes de informação.
Pesquisas atuais
Chadwick está atualmente trabalhando com Elaine Kennedy, do Instituto de Pesquisa para a Geociência, e com Chris Prince, da USC, no sistema deposicional dos Tapeats Sandstone, localizado no Grand Canyon e na região central do Arizona. Em adição, ele está trabalhando com Darryl Maddox, do Amarillo CC, sobre Permotriassic, de Palo Duro Canyon, e Tom Zoutwelle, da Holanda, sobre o esquema global das correntes paleozóicas no Phanerozóico.
